To accomplish ICM’s mission, nine strategies have been created to guide our work for the mental and spiritual transformation of our residents, staff, partners, and community.

9 strategies for transformation

  • Continuously seek God’s wisdom and direction for Inner City Mission.
  • Maintain a Christian perspective in all ICM operations.
  • Deepen our understanding and address the root causes of homelessness.
  • Provide basic needs (housing, sustenance, clothing, etc.) so residents can address deeper issues.
  • Maintain an environment of joy, peace, and stability as seen throughout scripture and experienced within the Body of Christ.
  • Promote Godly righteousness through guidance, education, and mentorship addressing common areas of instability.
  • Work to eliminate factors that contribute to homelessness, educating the public about the deteriorating effects of living outside of Biblical truths.
  • Encourage the Body of Christ to confront the root causes of homelessness, embracing their birthright to be the hands and feet of Jesus, cultivating transformation in the lives of those in need.
  • Foster a spirit of thanksgiving for the blessings God provides through the support of His people who make ICM’s ministry possible.
