Hi! My name is Tara. My family outside of ICM consists of my husband John, and two daughters, Alyssa and Abby. I am extremely grateful for my life and the opportunity to serve at Inner City Mission. 

I first came to ICM as a volunteer. I quickly felt the love with the house and started expressing my desire to work there on a regular basis. I did not know it would be nearly ten years later that I would get that chance. I know God used that time to prepare me for this. 

Each time I come to work I am reminded of how big God is, of how much love matters, of how nice a thankful heart can feel. I believe that each person at Inner City Mission, whether it is staff or resident, is there for a reason. I’m excited and humbled to be a part of God’s work.  

Galatians 5:6 states “The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.” I believe those words are not just words trapped in a book, but an action I witness every time I walk into ICM.
